304 Stainless Steel Sheet — Manufacturer, Price, Specifications

What is 304 Stainless Steel Sheet / Plate?

304 stainless steel is the most widely used austenitic stainless steel, known for excellent corrosion resistance, good formability, and weldability. It contains 18-20% chromium and 8-10.5% nickel.

304 stainless steel sheet is our most popular stainless steel product, used across a wide range of industries including food processing, chemical equipment, architecture, and kitchen appliances.

Our 304 stainless steel sheets are manufactured to ASTM A240 / A480 standards and are available in cold rolled (0.3-3.0mm) and hot rolled (3.0-100mm) options with various surface finishes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is 304 stainless steel?
304 is the most widely used austenitic stainless steel grade, containing 18-20% chromium and 8-10.5% nickel. It offers excellent corrosion resistance, good formability, and weldability.
What thickness of 304 stainless steel sheet do you supply?
We supply 304 stainless steel sheets from 0.3mm to 100mm thickness. Cold rolled sheets are typically 0.3-3.0mm, and hot rolled plates start from 3.0mm up to 100mm.
What surface finishes are available for 304 sheet?
Available finishes include 2B (mill finish, most common), BA (bright annealed), No.4 (brushed), 8K (mirror), HL (hairline), and No.1 (hot rolled, descaled).
What are the standard sheet sizes?
Standard sizes are 1219×2438mm (4’×8’), 1500×3000mm, 1500×6000mm. Custom cutting is available to your required dimensions.
What's the price of 304 stainless steel sheet?
Pricing depends on thickness, finish, quantity, and current market conditions. Contact us with your specifications for an exact quote — usually within 24 hours.
What's the difference between 304 and 304L?
304L is the low-carbon version of 304 (max 0.030% C vs 0.08% C). 304L offers better resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding, making it preferred for welded structures.
Can 304 stainless steel rust?
304 has good corrosion resistance but is not completely rust-proof. It can corrode in harsh chloride environments (such as coastal or de-icing salt conditions). For such applications, 316L is recommended.
Do you provide Mill Test Certificates?
Yes, every shipment includes a full Mill Test Certificate (MTC/MTR) showing chemical composition and mechanical properties, certified to EN 10204 3.1 standard.
